Into the Woods (The Musical) Presented by Lakeland Players

"Happily Ever After" has never been so complicated.
The musical Into the Woods, by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine
takes everyone’s favorite storybook characters Little Red Riding Hood,
Jack (from beanstalk fame), a Witch, Rapunzel, Cinderella, the Baker and
his wife, and a handsome prince or two, as they invade one another's
stories and find themselves tangled in a web of unexpected consequences.
Using these famous fairy tales, it explores the consequences of desires,
the complexities of parent-child relationships, and the necessity of
community. The characters find that "wishes come true, not free". This
musical, filled with spectacular Stephen Sondheim songs, shows us that
actions have repercussions, that "no one is alone" in their struggles, and
true maturity involves taking responsibility and caring for others. Only
together can we defeat the wolves and giants of the world?. Into The Woods
has a stunning, unforgettable score featuring "No One is Alone," "Children
Will Listen" and "Giants in the Sky". This iconic show will enchant, and
delight! 
Performing May 1 – 3, 8-10 and 15-17. 7:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays
